Hello! My name is Leah, and I write about international affairs, national security, gender, religion, and health.
I have been published in The Atlantic, The New York Times, The Lily for theThe Washington Post, Bitch Media,The Forward, OZY, Atlas Obscura, Fodor’s Travel, and Culture Trip. I also wrote Rwanda’s section for Fodor’s most recent print edition of A Complete Guide To African Safaris.
I have a BA from Dartmouth College in Women's and Gender Studies and African Studies and an MS from the University of Cape Town in Gender Studies. I also have an MS from Columbia Journalism School.
I just completed an editorial fellowship at The Atlantic, and I am now working as a freelance journalist.
